Design Shanghai 2025: TASSANI's Color Awakening and Floating Island Residency

Asia's top design exhibition, "Design Shanghai," will take place from June 4th to 7th, 2025, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. It will showcase the latest materials in design and application, featuring innovative materials and practical cases from numerous global brands. As an Italian century-old art paint brand, TASSANI will make its debut at "Design Shanghai" with the theme of "Color Awakening," bringing unique color art and craft aesthetics, creating a feast of vision and inspiration. A star private dinner will also be held at the Luxembourg Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo.

TASSANI, in collaboration with international designers Xu Qingliang and Yang Mingbin, has created the "Floating Island Residency" theme pavilion. The modular "floating island" boxes showcase five home building materials brands, offering an innovative design concept that gives visitors a fresh look.

The "Floating Island Residency" at "Design Shanghai," a gathering of the world's design elite, seeks to explore the balance of materials, aesthetics, nature, and architecture. The pavilion skillfully integrates art paint into various spaces, using design elements such as light, shadow, furniture, and decorations, combining contemporary design aesthetics to create a new aesthetic space. It offers visitors a sensory feast that engages sight, sound, and touch.

Curated by Xu Qingliang and Yang Mingbin of Ruikun International-Zhengfangliangxing Design, the "Floating Island Residency" presented by TASSANI Art Paint/Aozhuo Rock Slabs/Ferona Cement Tiles/Chao Tie Wall System/VIPP Furniture, uses a non-traditional display format to explore the future lifestyle of home brands. The booth is centered around the concept of "material symbiosis," creating a full-case home aesthetic pavilion through the多元 collision of art paint, rock slabs, cement tiles, and Scandinavian furniture.

The booth design reconstructs the DNA of the five brands, creating a complete space script from hard to soft, from structure to detail. It can be a grain of sand in the Wabi-Sabi style, a beam of light in the industrial loft, or a deep response to the "naturalness" and "completeness" of modern residential life.

The booth design continues the sustainable curatorial concept, presenting a journey into the aesthetics of ideal living with modular "floating island" boxes. The booth uses the "floating island" as a design concept, transforming five home brands into floating narrative units and deconstructing traditional display logic with spatial montage. The booth ultimately presents not only product displays but also the resonant frequencies of the five brands and the DNA of defining new lifestyles.

The uneven spatial heights enhance the atmosphere of the floating island concept, and the modular design adds a lightness to the architecture. The poetic reorganization is the brand's expression of the symbiosis of technology and nature and the sustainable development concept. Each module is an independent scenario-based experience "island" that presents the characteristics of each brand, while also being interconnected to create a flowing aesthetic exploration journey.

In collaboration with designers such as Xu Qingliang and Yang Mingbin winners of the Red Dot Award and IF Award, TASSANI seamlessly connects paint research and space design, forming a "material-design-user" value loop. This not only enhances the brand's appeal in the designer circle but also drives the industry from "single product supply" to "full-chain service empowerment," providing a reference model for international cooperation in China's design industry.
