In the speech of leaders, Professor Huang Jing, a senior engineer of the Building Materials Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Building Research, stated that residential waterproofing is a crucial hidden project in the construction of "good houses." The current industry still has the misjudgment of unreasonable material selection, irregular construction technology, and "one material for the whole house," leading to wall seepage, tile emptying and falling off, and other public pain points. Chinese Waterproofing Association: In the Industry Transformation Period, "Wall Rigid-Ground Flexible" Provides a Down-to-earth Guideline

Mr. Hu Xibao, the president of the Chinese Waterproofing Association, stated in his speech that the waterproofing industry is currently in a deep transformation period with the rise of the existing market and the shrinkage of the incremental market. According to National Bureau of Statistics data, from January to July this year, the new construction area of houses across the country was 267 million square meters, a decrease of 24%, and the main business income of large-scale waterproofing building materials enterprises was 38 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.4%. Home renovation, urban renewal, and the transformation of old residential areas are becoming new growth engines; however, problems such as excess low-end capacity, homogenization and low-price competition, and chaotic standard implementation are still prominent. The misalignment of wall and ground materials and the inappropriate selection of rigid and flexible materials lead to frequent leakage and tile emptying and falling off, which not only troubles consumers but also damages the reputation of the industry.
