Design Insights: Little Things, Big Impact - Chen Fengfeng's Perspective

On September 24, 2025, the "Search for Influential Creators in the Design Industry – Cover Story City Salon," co-hosted by Interior Design Chinese Edition and Schneider Electric, was held in Fuzhou. This season focused on the profound connotations and design inspirations behind "Little Things, Big Impact." Zhisu Building's founder and design director, Chen Fengfeng, was invited to attend and was interviewed by Sina Home.

Chen Fengfeng emphasized that design should not be limited by the type of space. Its core lies in "listening with the heart and expressing with the senses," capturing the real needs of users through sincere communication, and transforming subtle insights into spatial language.

He used an example of a renovation project to explain how design can activate old residential buildings, illustrating how the accumulation of "little care" can achieve the "big significance" of space transformation. During this process, designers need to abandon preconceived style labels and truly stand in the users' perspective, treating each space as a unique entity, and using design to awaken its intrinsic value.

Chen Fengfeng pointed out that future design trends will pay more attention to the spatial relationship of "big to small, small to big," emphasizing the integration of refinement and commercialization from the perspective of users and the market. He believes that designers need to integrate emotional, intelligent, and environmental elements, and connect logic in the details to achieve the sublimation of the value of "little care."
